Carey, who is almost 5'10" tall and was once an iconic American models for fashion. Top designers including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren liked her. Her father was a prominent scientist and was recognized as the Scientist in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey went to all over the world due to her father's work. When she finished her studies at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she started to do modeling as a side. The idea caught the attention of a Ford Model Agency New York. The model briefly studied and lived in Paris after which she returned back to New York. When she was modeling as she studied at a full-time level for a literary major at New York University. While she was studying acting at Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her enthusiasm for acting increased. The year 1986 was the year she had her first role in acting, a bit part in Club Paradise, with Robin Williams. She is a rock climber, skiing, and windsurfing.
